The machine incorporates a fully enclosed splash guard that completely seals graphite dust inside the machine – handling it with an integral dust collection system - for a clean shop environment.
The V56i Graphite vertical machining center can also be utilized for dry machining of steels and other materials as well. The machine is equipped with core-cooled ballscrews, support bearings and motor mounts, as well as a core-cooled saddle design with Nano slideway to control machine thermal growth, provide sustained accuracy in long cycle- time, complex geometry die / mold work.
Integrated construction of the spindle and drive motor reduces vibration during high-speed operation. The axis layout is designed with no overhangs to ensure outstanding accuracy over the full range of axis travel.
